The PNFPG was formed in 1986 and held its first show in Libby, Montana in 1987. Today, the PNFPG has over 150 members, most living in British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon, Idaho and Montana; and sponsors three major activities each year. One in Libby, the eastern edge of our region, one in Moses Lake, Washington, roughly midway between east and west and one in Ethel, Washington – on the I-5 corridor in Western Washington.
The Pacific Northwest Fjord Promotional Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the Norwegian Fjord Horse. Our membership is made up of Fjord owners, breeders and others who show a common interest in this unique breed. Through horse shows, parades and other events throughout the year we strive to promote interest in the breed and to insure a healthy future for this fine horse.
